Astralis has dominated the professional CSGO scene with their core five-man roster. With multiple major wins under their belts, many in the community often consider them to be one of the greatest dynasties in CSGO.
However, all that changed when NIP acquired dev1ce from Astralis thus declaring the end of an era for Astralis CSGO. Turns out, that is not all for Ninjas in Pyjamas as they are apparently working on something even bigger for both NIP and the Esports scene as a whole.
Something big is coming for NIP
NIP’s CEO states, “Tomorrow we start wrapping up 9 months of NIP work. All goes well; we can share it with you in May. What happened on Friday was huge for us and esports, but this one is even larger”.
According to Hicham Chahine, CEO of Ninjas in Pyjamas, they are wrapping up nine months of work. And if everything goes according to plan, NIP has an even bigger announcement upcoming that will even overshadow the acquisition of dev1ce.
NIP’s CEO further stated that they will be able to talk more about it in May until then all we can do is just speculate. Some fans are speculating that NIP might be working on purchasing a small stadium or something similar to host big Esports events since they hinted that the move will be massive for Esports as a whole.
