In the latest PBE update, the new Voice Over Lines for Varus has been released.

Riot has made many changes in League of Legends as patches have gone by. In fact, Riot has made many varieties of changes. They have intensified the reworks for champions, as evident from the latest releases of Neeko and Rell.

Also, there have been many balance changes that have changed the game drastically in many ways. Ranked changes were also done, with many of them coming soon at the start of Split 2. Overall, the aim is to improve the player experience, and Riot is trying a lot of different things to see what sticks positively.

Cosmetics and other aspects, such as ASUs, are a big part of Riot’s plans. Lee Sin and Teemo ASUs are in the works, although they will take until 2024 to release. Along with that, Riot promised some reworks of voice lines to fit the lore and future champions. The new Varus VOs have been realized, which is wildly different than in the past. Here is all of it.

With the new voice, Varus sounds more Darkin-like while we get to hear Kai and Valmar in his head. As Varus’ lore goes, Valmar and Kai were cursed to become the vessel for Varus, and now all three of them exist in one body.

Valmar and Kai resist and keep their humanity while Varus walks the path of vengeance. The entire voice update has a lot of nice tidbits, like lines about the other Darkin and interactions with Valmar and Kai. It is a refreshing update, and it gives the character a lot more depth than in the past.

Release Date

The Varus Voice Update is expected to come in Patch 13.13, as it just landed in the PBE. Hopefully, we will get to see it on Wednesday, June 28, 2023.
