With version 5.2 closing down, we are getting new info about 5.3 and new skins are a very high possibility!
This year’s lantern rite (Genshin’s biggest event) seems to be part of version 5.3. To be more precise, we will be getting the event in the later half of 5.3 and it might extend to the first half of 5.4.
With the 5.3 beta starting soon, there are quite a few leaks regarding 5.3 and Lantern Rite. And one of the most promising is the new skins for both 5-star and 4-star characters.
Do keep in mind that some of these rumors aren’t from trusted sources and aren’t obviously confirmed by Hoyoverse. Therefore, take everything with a grain of salt, and let’s dive into the details!
New Skins in Genshin Impact Version 5.3
According to the rumors, there will be skins for two 5-star characters and one for a 4-star character. This is quite similar to the lantern rite skins in the past year when we got skins for Ganyu, Shenhe, and Xingqiu.
This year the skin lineup is for Yelan, Hutao, and Xiangling according to the rumors. While we still haven’t got any image leak of the skins, I think we will get them soon enough when the close beta starts.
Yelan Skin
If leakers are to be believed, Yelan’s skin will be sort of similar to what Ninnguang got for her in the second lantern rite when Keqing’s skin got released. So, we can expect something like a party gown matching her aesthetics (black and blue hopefully) or a fashionable take similar to Ayaka’s.
Hu Tao Skin
On the other hand, there isn’t enough info on Hu Tao’s design. With how popular her base outfit is, I am eagerly waiting on how Hoyoverse will bring something new that players will be ready to spend their money on. Something along the lines of the Halloween theme will be much appreciated I believe.
Xiangling Skin
The free 4-star skin we will get in the lantern rite is Xianglin’s traditional Chinese festival outfit. You just need to participate in the main event of the second half of version 5.3 and you should be able to obtain it without much fuss.
