Modern Warfare 3 players demand that Gunfight game mode be available from day one.

Call of Duty Modern Warfare (2019) introduced the modern generation of CoD with the newly built engine. Alongside new movement and gunplay mechanics, Infinity Ward also introduced a brand new game mode called Gunfight.

Gunfight is a 2v2 round-based game mode where the team that reaches 6 points wins. The game mode was an instant hit, making it return to Modern Warfare 2 after a few seasons. However, Modern Warfare 3 developer Sledgehammer Games has not discussed the possibility of the game modes’ return.

Players Demand that “Gunfight” Game Mode is Available from Day One

In a recent thread in the Modern Warfare 3 subreddit, a user shared their take on the gunfight game mode and how it should be from day one. The original poster shared their concern about how Gunfight might get replaced by the new Cutthroat game mode and how Sledghemmar Games have not shared any intel on Gunfight’s return.

The original poster discussed how the Gunfight tournaments made the multiplayer fun in MW (2019). Another user also shared their love for the Gunfight tournaments, allowing players to compete for exclusive in-game rewards.

Another comment from user Masked555 talked about how the game mode was the peak CoD for them. However, they soon told the original poster to prepare for not seeing the game mode on day one of Modern Warfare 3. Moreover, the game mode might get replaced by Cutthroat, as there have been no leaks about the game mode yet.

While Sledgehammer Games is bringing the most classic game modes, players are confused about whether Gunfight will return in MW3. Gunfight has been a very loved game mode like Hardpoint and Search & Destroy. Hopefully, Sledgehammer Games will consider adding the game mode to future seasonal content drops like MW2.
