A trailer for Insomniac’s canceled Spider-Man live-service multiplayer game got leaked online.
A couple of months ago, Insomniac Games had a massive data breach that revealed the company’s future projects leaked to the internet. One leaked project was a live-service multiplayer Spider-Man game titled ‘The Great Web,’ which Sony canceled. A few hours ago, a trailer for Spider-Man: The Great Web was discovered and posted online.
In December 2023, a ransomware group named Rhysida attacked Insomniac Games and threatened to release 1.67 TB of confidential data. The group demanded Sony to pay 50 BTC, or around $2 million for the stolen data, which they refused to pay. As a result, the hackers posted the stolen data online, which contained confidential contracts with Marvel for future projects, including early gameplay footage from the Volverwine game.

Leaked Trailer For Live-Service Spider-Man Game
A short trailer for Spider-Man: The Great Web was leaked online today, revealing amazing multiplayer features and an open-world map. The trailer also showed five players controlling different Spider-Man characters fighting against the Sinister Six in New York City. Furthermore, the teaser revealed that it was intended to be built around a multiverse model busted open by the Scarlet Witch.
Peter Parker’s Spider-Man actor Yuri Lowenthal reportedly narrated the dialogue from the trailer. Here is the entire dialogue from the trailer,
