Maggie will be the next Legend to join the Apex games in Season 12.

At its core, Apex Legends is a live-service video game with an evolving world that is based on the Titanfall franchise of video games. Keeping a live service audience happy is no small task, as the developers need to constantly supply unique updates in each new season to keep the core gameplay formula fresh for both new and returning players.
In terms of adding new characters to the game, Respawn has a steady record of releasing a new legend with each new season of Apex Legends. While players are just slowly getting accustomed to the new legend Ash, who was released with the season 11 Escape update, the rumor mill surrounding the next legend is already getting a lot of traction thanks to some data miners.

Maggie is the Next Legend
According to a data miner, files mentioning a character named “maali” have been found. The file basically mentioned a certain damage boost ability that will allow players to deal more damage with their weapons, similar to how Rampart’s tactical works.
In this case, the name “maali” is clearly a placeholder. Popular data miner and Youtuber Garret strongly believes that “maali” could just be the codename for Maggie. While the current storyline of the game shows that Maggie is dead, Revenant’s recent voice lines during the Fight or Fright event mentioning Maggie have sparked a new wave of speculations from fans.
Maggie is Alive?
Many are arguing that since we didn’t actually see Maggie’s dead body in the Apex Legends comic panel she could still be alive, and Respawn might introduce her as the next legend in season 12. Since Respawn has a history of subverting players’ expectations regarding new Legend reveals, this will come as no big surprise that they would bring back someone from the dead to be the new legend.
Also, voice files and legend-select animation of Maggie have been doing the rounds on different social media platforms. However, as this is still a leak from early codes found in the game files, take them with a grain of salt, as Respawn tends to change things at the very last minute.

Although “garret“, who is the data miner, has gotten things like Ash being the following legend right back in season 10. So, there is a slight possibility of him being right all over again. And from the looks of it, she will be another support-type legend based on her leaked damage-boosting abilities.
