All Combinations in MADiSON

While you roam around in MADiSON, you will see secrets behind lock codes. That clearly means you should not trespass, or should you?

Imagine waking up in a dark room; tunes are loud, crowd’s mood is changing by the minute while the records are on repeat. The difference from Lamar’s Swimming Pool in MADiSON is that the room will be locked, and your hands will be dripping with fresh blood. MADiSON, the demon, wants you to finish a long-due ritual as the schedule was pretty busy for both of you. Now, it’s time to get it over with.

Now about getting to the end line of this ritual thingy, you will soon come across several types of locks. Well, what’s a horror survival game without puzzles and locks? There will be doors and safe vaults, and all of these are unlockable with a bit of patience in your pocket. I am here today to push you back if that patience seems to run out. Let’s hop into MADiSON and solve the lock codes for those tricky combinations.

The Well

There will be an audio tape at some point in the game. It is an instruction for you to look for a red door. You will find the door in the basement. It will be locked. However, it will be unlocked when you take a portrait shot of it. The next scene might be a bit spooky.

You will see a trail of candles that will lead to a well. The well is locked with three locks that need a combination—no time to waste here. Get back to the study room. On the wall, you will find a hexagonal symbol with four circles. Take a picture of it, and you will see the codes have appeared. Again, to the well. Put the codes and unlock the well. What’s next?

The One with the Green Safe

You saw the projector room, right? Just the room next to it has a green-colored safe vault. On top of it, you will find a notepad with instructions on where to find the combinations for this safe. And like a good puzzle game, it hardly says anything about finding the lock codes in MADiSON. However, that’s why I’m here for.

There are two parts to this combination. More precisely, two notepads at different locations hold the combination for the safe. Head to the bathroom that will be at opposite of grandpa’s room. Check out the shelf. You will find the first pad.

You must solve the elevator puzzle before getting your hands on the second notepad. Suppose you solved it. Now head to the clock room and open the door with the key you just acquired by solving the puzzle. You will see a desk in the room. However, you will need a bolt cutter to open the desk lock. The notepad will be waiting for you in the drawer.

Now just combine these two notepads, and you will get your combination for the safe. No sweat, right?

The One with the Red Safe

Let me tell you; this is the one with the least hassle. To be precise, there is no hassle at all. After coming out of the clock room, you will see a vision and draw a meaningless circle in your notebook. Is it really meaningless? How about counting the red lines on the incomplete circles? Getting some numbers? That is it.

Moreover, you will even get the directions from the drawing. Oh, and do not forget to count the arrow line as well. It has a red line, no? Get back to the office and open the red safe.

The Room for the Ritual

You will get across the room with the small door at some point early in the game. As I have already given you a bit of a spoiler, this room is for the final ritual you will encounter at the climax part of the game. So, there is no way you can get access here before the story progresses to a threshold.

Let me assume you are at the threshold. The code to unlock the door is written on different things. To be more precise, a 4-digit code is what you need to open the door. Let’s get you through the major steps:

  • You will soon see a vision of horns. These horns are from a dead animal that you will find in the Living area. Take a photo of that.
  • You will come across an elevator. There’s a puzzle correlating to the elevator. Solve it and take a picture of the mirror afterward.
  • There will be a grandfather clock. And yes, it is a part of a puzzle indeed. Solve it and take a picture of the door.
  • Complete the Gramophone Puzzle to get those two freaky eyes. Take them back to Jhon’s room and throw them into the hole. All you have to do is, you guessed it right, take a photo. I wonder what happens just after this.

Now that you have photos of all these memoirs, you will be glad to find out that the Devs made it easy, and the game will show you the numbers on those pictures in the correct order. All is left now to unlock the door.
