Ultimate Spellbook is returning with a bunch of new changes.
Game Modes are an integral part of any online multiplayer experience. League of Legends, being one of the biggest online multiplayer games, has its fair share of options. These options include ARAM, Twisted Treeline, URF, and One For All, to name a few.
These game modes are usually a fun addition to the standard gameplay loop. Most people play these game modes when they are bored of Summoners Rift and want to have fun with friends or relax. Furthermore, these modes are quite popular among players, particularly casual League of Legends players.
However, Riot has been lacking when it came to new game modes for the last couple of years. But starting 2023 Riot has been stepping up a bit and pumping out more and more new game modes. They released Ultimate Spellbook, Arena, and Nexus Blitz. Riot even recently released a Vampire Survivor-style game mode called Swarm.
Moreover, Riot has announced that they will be bringing back the popular game mode Ultimate Spellbook with a bunch of new changes. In this article, we will discuss the upcoming game mode and its changes and release date.

Ultimate Spellbook Changes
Ultimate Spellbook is coming with tons of new changes. Here’s a list of all the changes,
- Players will now be able to choose 1 of 4 Ultimate Summoners instead of the previous iteration 3 choices.
- Riot has added more champion Ultimates to the list.
- Players will be offered more Ultimates periodically throughout the game. They are also given Re-rolls. These Re-rolls are available at the shop (or on death) after 8 minutes, and then every 6 minutes for the rest of the game.
- Neutral Jungle Camp timers have been adjusted to fit the mode, and Auto-Smite has received some tuning.
- A new element called Ultimate Ammo has also been added. By Killing Baron, Elder Dragon, or acquiring Dragon Soul, players will be awarded an extra charge for their Ultimate Summoners. Players can then cast their Ultimate, and 3 seconds later can cast it again.
When Will Ultimate Spellbook Release?
Ultimate Spellbook along with the changes will be returning in Patch 14.19, which is set to release on Wednesday, Sept 25, 2024.
