New Briar teasers have been datamined and leaked ahead of the release of the champion.
Briar is the next champion coming to League of Legends as the 165th champion in the game. The champion has been previously tagged as a “hangry jungler.” So, it was already inferred that Briar was going to be a vampire-type champion.
Other than that, we did not have a lot to go on with. All we knew was that Briar was going to be something regarding Blood and probably a lot of dashing and jumping. Since then, the splash art for Briar has been leaked.
Her appearance was not quite expected as she would be a small character like Zoe and such. After that, a teaser menu started dropping into the client that will unveil four Phases of teaser videos. After Phase 2 was released today, SkinSpotlights unveiled all the Phases in a video. Here are all of them.
All Briar Teaser Phases
There are four phases in total and above is the video of all the phases. However, as SkinSpotlights points out at the start of the video, all the phases are interactable. Thus, the video is not the entire experience, and it’s best to try it out with the client. Here is a brief description of what the Teasers do.
This one is a hallway to a dungeon, by the look of it. You can look around the area and hear the whistling from Briar. Nothing too major.
In Teaser 2, the camera is in front of the door, and you can interact with objects. You can see Briar whistling and walking back and forth in her prison. She randomly starts talking out of the door as well in a device that is attached to her neck.
You can see in the video that Briar tries to attract someone. There are some hungry references made as well, along with a lot of pacing back and forth.
Phase 3 is the biggest, as there is a lot of stuff you can hear through this one. You also get a close-up view of what Briar looks like. She whistles a lot from time to time and does a lot of movement, similar to exercise and such.
Briar also approaches the window of the door from time to time. In many ways, she has this creepy vibe in the teaser, and she makes a lot of references to coming closer and not eating.
In Teaser 4, you see Briar making the move and escaping from her imprisonment, and then you see a broken door. That’s all there is to it.
The entire teaser sequence shows that Riot is putting in some work to tease the champion as opposed to the Naafiri release. It is interactive, looks nice, and all that. To be honest, it is a bit of a shame that the teasers got leaked. Other than that, it is a great introduction to the champion before the entirety of the details are released.
