Riot has revealed many upcoming DRX cosmetics, including a DRX-themed ward.
Worlds is the biggest annual event in League of Legends. In this tournament, the best team from all over the world compete against each other. This event is the highest stage of competition in the game.
Since 2012, the winners of this championship have received a team-themed skin in the game. Not only that, even the winners of the first season of Worlds, Fnatic, received their own skin line in 2014.
Last year, DRX won the Worlds 2022 event. Because of it, they would receive their own DRX-themed cosmetics in the game.
Recently, Riot has announced 7 upcoming DRX-themed skins. Alongside skins, Riot will also be releasing prestige DRX Aatrox icon, signature icons, emotes and a DRX-themed ward.
Wards are one of the essential items in League of Legends. It removes the fog of war from the map and grants vision to a team. However, the team is granted vision only for a limited time and can be countered with an Oracle’s Lens.
There are currently three types of wards in the game, stealth wards, control wards, and farsight alteration. And ward skins can be equipped for all three of them. Ward skins can contain different models, and each ward skins have a different deploy animation.
While ward skins are not as popular as champion skins, they are still a neat item to have. Regardless, here’s everything you have to know about the DRX ward.

DRX Ward Skin
This DRX-themed ward skin will have an alpaca holding the Summoner’s Cup.
Alpaca is a joke related to Deft’s appearance. Many Chinese, Korean and Western fans refer to Deft as an alpaca because his face looks like one. Deft also embraces this joke as he called himself an alpaca during an interview on April 1st. This is also the reason why DRX Caitlyn has alpacas when recalling.
The DRX ward will cost 640 RP, similar to other wards.
All the DRX-themed cosmetics are expected to hit live servers on patch 13.11, scheduled to release on Friday, June 2, 2023.
