Here’s a complete breakdown of all the swords you can unlock for Ryoma in Like A Dragon: Ishin!

Like a Dragon: Ishin is the brand new JRPG from RGG Studios, which lets you live your Samurai fantasies to the fullest. Starting from experiencing the tale of Samurai Sakamoto Ryoma’s glory days to walking around the streets of Kyo and fighting enemies, Ishin offers it all.

The Like a Dragon franchise has always been popular for its smooth combat, and Ishin is no different in that regard. After all, one of the best parts of being a Samurai is that you can brandish your sword and slay your foes.

As a member of the Shinsengumi, Ryoma can carry different types of weapons. However, in a true Samurai fashion, relying on your blade makes the most sense. And, Like a Dragon: Ishin offers a huge collection of swords and katanas.

Moreover, the swords come with a unique Mark that can elevate your sword-fighting skill to the next level. These Marks are designed to give you an edge in battle, as each of them either inflicts a status ailment on enemies or gives you a stat boost. Below are what each of the Mark represents:

  • Poison – inflicts a poison status effect on enemies
  • Rust – rusts and damages enemy armor
  • Wind – knocks down enemies
  • Yokai – absorbs the enemy’s HP
  • Light – inflicts a stun status effect on enemies
  • Thunder – inflicts a shock status effect on enemies
  • Fire – inflicts a burn status effect on enemies
  • Crush – makes it easier to break through the enemy’s guard
  • Endure – increases Ryoma’s resistance to damage
  • Bond – boosts Ryoma’s physical stats
  • Force – blows away enemies with a strong attack
  • Heat – fills up Ryoma’s Heat Guage faster
  • Dragon – adds the Dragon attack effect to your attacks

In addition to Marks, your swords will have two to three slots for upgrades, increasing your weapon’s attack power and capabilities. You can fill these empty slots with various Seals to give your sword stackable stat buffs.
