Riot Games unvails their first ever exclusive champion for Legends of Runeterra, Norra. Here’s everything you need to know.
Since the upcoming Awakening expansion is on the horizon, Riot is teasing various forthcoming changes and additions to the game, such as Kayn and Master Yi. But probably the most surprising of them is the addition of a new LoR exclusive champion, Norra.
Legends of Runeterra has a vast cast of characters. However, the most powerful cards in the game are the champion cards. But up until now, all of the champions have been taken from League of Legends. However, this week Riot released a reveal trailer for Norra, the first exclusive champion for LoR.
According to the lore, Norra is Yuumi’s partner. Yummi is a support champion in League of Legends who uses a magical book to aid her allies in the Summoner’s Rift. Yummi’s primary goal, according to her biography, is that she is trying to find her partner, Norra, a Yordle hailing from Bandle City.
Riot is recently doubling down on adding more lore characters, from adding Senna to Viego. So players expected that Yummi’s partner might be a new champion. But most players did not expect her to be an LoR exclusive.

Champion Spell
Norra’s Portalpalooza
Norra’s champion spell is Portalpalooza. It’s a Burst-speed spell. Upon activation, plant 2 Mysterious Portals (New boon) randomly in the top 4 cards of your deck. Upon drawing 1, create a Norra in the player’s deck.
New Boon: Mysterious Portal
With Mysterious Portal boon, summon a random 2-3 cost follower. Then, if the player’s board is full, create a 0-cost Fleeting keyword copy in hand instead.

Release Date
Norra will release in the upcoming Awakening Expansion. According to Riot, the expansion will be released on 31st August 2022.
