Riot Games officially confirmed in March that it is developing Team Voice for League, allowing players to communicate with teammates outside their premade party. Now, new information reportedly uncovered from the game’s ongoing development offers a clearer picture of how the feature could work.
According to League of Legends Leaks and recent PBE findings, Team Voice could require Honor Level 3 or higher, include integrated Voicemod voice filters, and record conversations for potential moderation. These specific details have not yet been formally announced by Riot, so they should be treated as features currently being tested rather than final launch specifications.

Riot Is Testing Voicemod Integration and Voice Skins
One of the more unexpected developments is the apparent integration of Voicemod technology. Dataminer SkinSpotlights reports that recent PBE builds contain Voicemod integration, while the newest files connect the system to something called “Voice Skins.”
The system appears designed to disguise or modify a player’s real voice. Exactly what filters will be available remains unknown, and the full interface has not yet been successfully loaded.
Team Voice Conversations Could Be Recorded
The leaked information also claims Team Voice conversations will be recorded and could be reviewed for moderation purposes. This would potentially give Riot another tool for investigating voice abuse reports.
Riot has repeatedly stressed that safety is one of the main reasons Team Voice has taken so long. The company previously said advances in its ability to identify bad actors made it comfortable revisiting voice communication. Riot still has not announced an official League of Legends Team Voice release date.
