League of Legends champions who will be part of the next VGU poll have been revealed.
Over the last few years, Riot Games has been holding VGU polls so that League of Legends players can vote for champions who they’d like to see new updates on. 2019’s poll helped both Fiddlesticks and Volibear to get a modern identity, while Udyr’s VGU is scheduled to come out this year after the 2021’s poll.
After those successful polls, Riot is about to open a new poll in 2022 to determine which champion/champions should get a VGU in 2023. Riot occasionally pushes reworks/mini-rework for champions in League of Legends; however, unlike those, a VGU update completely revamps how a champion looks, their abilities, cosmetics, and more.
League of Legends 2023 VGU Poll Champions
The 2023 VGU poll will also include five champions, similar to last time. And the champions are:
- Shyvana
- Nocturne
- Skarner
- Tryndamere
- Kog’Maw
Both Nocturn and Shyvana have now been nominated in three consecutive polls straight with this new poll. Last year, Shyvana came out second with an 18% vote, while Nocturn received 15.4%. Although Udyr winning that VGU poll was pretty much expected, many fans also wanted Riot to add Shyvana as a second champion after that result. However, as it didn’t happen last year, Riot is now giving players another chance to vote for her.
Skarner is another strong candidate to win the whole poll this year. Last year, he was head to head with Shyvana. His current kit has to be one of the most punishable among all the champions on the list, and just for the injustice alone in Seraphine’s lore, he deserves to be the winner.
Tryndamere and Kog’Maw might not have the worst kit, but getting a new VGU would definitely help them in the current meta.
How to vote
A new voting tab has already opened in League client where you will be able to vote between Shyvana, Nocturne, Skarner, Tryndamere, and Kog’Maw in the 2023 VGU poll.
The voting phase ends at 11:59 pm PT on January 19.
