Leaks reveal new details about the upcoming Darkin champion.
A couple of months ago, Riot released a new client-based minigame called “The Demon’s Hand”. It was a limited-time game that was a fun mix of League of Legends elements and the popular card game Balatro.
Apart from its fun gameplay, the game also has some lore implications. The game gave us some insight into League’s newest epic monster, Atakhan, and something else: information about a new Darkin weapon, a Darkin Glaive to be exact.
According to one of the game’s cutscenes, Leblanc and Vladimir were looking for said Darkin Glaive and imprisoned Atakhan for that information. Atakhan revealed that the weapon was in Ionia, leading to the beginning of the second invasion of Ionia.
This led to many speculating that the next League of Legends champion will be associated with the said Darkin weapon. But there was no confirmation from Riot whether that would be the case or not. However, recent leaks suggest that the Darkin associated with the weapon will be the upcoming champion, and his name will be Zaahen.

Upcoming Darkin Champion Zaahen Leaked
In a video, the well-known League of Legends leaker, BigBadBear, revealed the name of the upcoming Darkin champion. In addition, he revealed some of the abilities of the champion, too.
In addition to these, we also have a glimpse of his in-game model. Furthermore, Riot recently revealed his Ascended form prior to becoming a Darkin in the motion comic “The Truth“.
Zaahen Abilities
Here are some details regarding his leaked abilities,
Zaahen – Passive
- Zaahen has a stacking passive that he can only stack during combat. At full stacks, he gets Lifesteal and can Revive himself.
So it’s basically a mix of the old Aatrox revive passive and the current one, with an additional stacking mechanic.
Zaahen – Q
- Zaahen’s auto attack gets empowered and can Stun/Knock Up enemies.
Think Leona or Xin Zhao Q, which has auto-attack reset with stun or knock-up capabilities.
Zaahen – W
- Zaahen pulls enemies towards him. Passively grand lifesteal.
Similar to Darius E -Apprehend with added lifesteal.
Zaahen – E
- Zaahen performs a small dash toward the target, slashing around him and damaging enemies.
Sounds very similar to Kayn Q – Reaping Slash.
However, there’s no information regarding his R yet.
As for his class, he will be Bruiser and will likely be a Top Laner/Jungler. In addition, there is no confirmation regarding his release date, but we can speculate that it will be in the next few patches.
