The League of Legends’ new bot lane champion will be named Nilah, and she might be coming sooner than you realized.
League of Legends has a lot of champions that you can play with. Riot just released their 160th champion Bel’Veth in Patch 12.11. Bel’Veth fills the void-shaped hole in the hearts of League fans, being the only void champion to be released after so long.
Riot also released Zeri and Renata Glasc this year. Both of them were received pretty well by the community. During the champion roadmap, Riot also hinted at an ‘unconventional’ bot lane champion. Small details about the champion were leaked previously. And now we finally know the name.
Upcoming Bot Lane Champion Name
According to a recent leak by BigBadBear on Twitter, the name of the new bot laner will be Nilah. In Arabic, the name ‘Nilah’ refers to a flower called ‘Water Hyacinth.’ So her having a connection to water makes a lot of sense.
Nilah Abilities
There isn’t much information about Nilah’s abilities as of now. BigBadBear was also one of the first people to predict that Nilah would be a melee champion and that her abilities would be water-based. And another trusted source, Ryscu (@Ryscu), previously supported BigBadBears prediction. He also added that Nilah would be like a ‘Water Yasuo,’ and one of her main abilities will be similar to Yasuo’s Q.
Check back here, as we will update as soon as more information is available.
Release Date
BigBadBear also leaked that Nilah’s first skin will be a Star Guardian Nilah skin. So if the leaks are accurate, Nilah will come out very soon. Patch 12.13 will hopefully launch the Star Guardian Event. So Nilah will be released in Patch 12.13 or in 12.14 if the Star Guardian event is spread out into two patches.
