As Arcane Season 2 is ongoing, a new Arcane themed champion has been leaked for League of Legends.
Back in 2021, Riot released a Netflix show based on League of Legends called Arcane. This show is based on the fictional universe of Runeterra and specifically takes place in the city of Piltover & Zaun. The story follows various iconic League of Legends champions like Jinx. Vi, Jayce, Victor, Heimerdinger, etc. Moreover, the story that was told through Arcane was very different compared to the cannon lore at the time. Due to this, it was also considered to be in a different universe.
With all of that said, Arcane was a massive success. It boasts a 100% critics score and a 96% audience score on Rotten Tomatoes. Not only that, many “non-gamer” fans didn’t even know that the show was a part of League of Legends. Afterward, Riot ended up making Arcane’s lore cannon. Thus, a lot of old Hextech and Piltover & Zaun lore are now obsolete.
Earlier this year Riot revealed that Arcane season 2 is coming out this year. Not only that, they also revealed the first ever Arcane-themed champion coming out in the game, Ambessa Medarda.
During the release of Arcane season 2, Riot released a lot of things in League of Legends and Wild Rift. While a lot of things have not yet been released, many of these contents were data-mined. Some of these contents suggest an upcoming Arcane themed champion for League of Legends.

League of Legends: Upcoming Arcane Champion Leaked
Before we start, this article will contain spoilers from both Arcane season 1 & 2. Not only that, it may spoil some plot points from future episodes.
Last month, Riot released a survey that accidentally revealed the champion we are talking about, Mel Medarda. However, at the time, most people thought that Mel Medarda wouldn’t survive, due to the ending of season 1. Regardless, Riot did not reveal any gameplay at the time.
To go back to the end of season 1, we see that Jinx’s rocket directly impacts Mel Medarda. However, her golden tattoos glow up and then she survives. This makes us believe that her golden tattoos are the source of her power.
Not only that but Mel’s TFT icon got leaked. From here, we can see that she has even more golden tattoos than before. This might reinforce the idea that her power comes from her tattoos.
Well-known League of Legends leaker Big Bad Bear suggests that she might have defensive magic abilities. While we don’t know anything for certain, if she were to come to League of Legends, she would certainly shake up the meta.
