League of Legends Patch 25.20 Notes: New Changes, Release Date, and More

Riot Games has officially revealed the Worlds patch changes, and here’s everything that’s arriving with it.

It’s that time of the year again; it is time for the League of Legends World Championship. Each year, the best teams from around the world come together, culminating in the biggest esports event of the year, the League of Legends World Championship.

This year’s Worlds will be kicking off on October 14th, and to shape the meta for the tournament, Riot is planning to release the highly anticipated Worlds Patch. Similar to previous Worlds patches, Patch 25.20 will have smaller changes, as most of the major changes were shipped in the previous patches. However, there are some notable changes arriving in this patch, too.

These changes include nerfs to statcheck Junglers like Volibear, Briar, and Warwick. We also have buffs for Malhpite, Pantheon, Veigar, and more. Finally, let’s talk about the adjustments. Azir, Camille, and Graves are getting some significant adjustments, which should make them more viable in the Worlds stage.

When Will Patch 25.20 Be Released?

League of Legends Patch 25.20 is expected to be released on Wednesday, October 8, 2025.

Patch 25.20 Champion Changes

Here are all the champion changes arriving in this patch.

Champion Buffs

Quite a number of champions are being buffed in this patch, including Anivia, Katarina, and Malphite.

Anivia

Q – Flash Frost

• Cooldown reduced to 11 / 10 / 9 / 8 / 7 seconds from 12 / 11 / 10 / 9 / 8.

E – Frostbite

• Base damage increased to 55 / 80 / 105 / 130 / 155 from 50 / 75 / 100 / 125 / 150.
• Empowered base damage increased to 110 / 160 / 210 / 260 / 310 from 100 / 150 / 200 / 250 / 300.

Katarina

Base Stats

• Base armor increased to 32 from 28.

Malphite

Base Stats

Base armor increased to 40 from 37.

E – Ground Slam

• Base damage increased to 80 / 120 / 160 / 200 / 240 from 70 / 110 / 150 / 190 / 230.

Pantheon

Comet Spear

• Monster damage increased to 80% from 75%.

W – Shield Vault

• Monster health ratio damage cap increased to 150 from 120.

Veigar

W – Dark Matter

• AP ratio increased to 70 / 80 / 90 / 100 / 110% AP from 60 / 70 / 80 / 90 / 100% AP.

Champion Nerfs

Riot is nerfing a bunch of Junglers this patch.

Briar

Passive – Crimson Curse

• Maximum bleed stacks reduced to 5 from 7.

Orianna

W – Command: Dissonance

• Base damage reduced to 70 / 110 / 150 / 190 / 230 from 70 / 120 / 170 / 220 / 270.
• AP ratio increased to 80% AP from 70% AP.

Volibear

Passive – The Relentless Storm

• Lightning AP ratio reduced to 40% AP from 50% AP.

E – Sky Splitter

• Damage AP ratio reduced to 70% AP from 80% AP.

Warwick

Base Stats

• Attack damage growth reduced to 2.5 from 2.75.
• Attack speed growth reduced to 2% from 2.3%.

Champion Adjustments

Azir, Camille, Fizz, Graves, and Wukong are getting some adjustments. Although the Wukong changes are mostly nerfs.

Azir

W – Arise!

• Recharge timer increased to 12 / 10.5 / 9 / 7.5 / 6 seconds from 10 / 9 / 8 / 7 / 6.
• Soldier AP ratio changed to 30 / 40 / 50 / 60 / 70% AP from 40 / 45 / 50 / 55 / 60% AP.
• Soldier subsequent target damage modifier changed to 20% – 100% (based on level) from 25 / 50 / 75 / 100% (based on rank).

E – Shifting Sands

• Base damage increased to 70 / 110 / 150 / 190 / 230 from 60 / 100 / 140 / 180 / 220.
• Damage AP ratio increased to 60% AP from 40% AP.

Camille

Base Stats

• Armor growth reduced to 4.5 from 5.

W – Tactical Sweep

• Base damage increased to 60 / 85 / 110 / 135 / 160 from 50 / 75 / 100 / 125 / 150.
• Cooldown reduced to 15 / 14 / 13 / 12 / 11 seconds from 17 / 15.5 / 14 / 12.5 / 11.

Fizz

W – Seastone Trident

• Passive base damage over time per tick increased to 5 / 7.5 / 10 / 12.5 / 15 from 3.33 / 5 / 6.67 / 8.33 / 10.
• Total base damage increased to 30 / 45 / 60 / 75 / 90 from 20 / 30 / 40 / 50 / 60.
• Passive AP ratio per tick reduced to 4.17% AP from 5% AP.
• Total AP ratio reduced to 25% AP from 30% AP.
• Removed: Passive damage over time no longer applies against structures.
• Active damage is still applied, and at 50% effectiveness.
• Active base damage increased to 50 / 75 / 100 / 125 / 150 from 50 / 70 / 90 / 110 / 130.
• Active on-hit base damage increased to 20 / 25 / 30 / 35 / 40 from 10 / 15 / 20 / 25 / 30.
• Active on-hit AP ratio reduced to 30% AP from 35% AP.

R – Chum the Waters

• Guppy base damage increased to 180 / 300 / 420 from 150 / 250 / 350.
• Guppy AP ratio reduced to 60% AP from 80% AP.
• Chomper base damage increased to 225 / 375 / 525 from 225 / 325 / 425.
• Chomper AP ratio reduced to 75% AP from 100% AP.
• Megalodon base damage reduced to 270 / 450 / 630 from 300 / 400 / 500.
• Megalodon AP ratio reduced to 90% AP from 120% AP.

Graves

Q – End of the Line

• Initial base damage increased to 50 / 75 / 100 / 125 / 150 from 45 / 65 / 85 / 105 / 125.
• Initial AD ratio reduced to 65% bonus AD from 80%.
• Explosion base damage changed to 80 / 125 / 170 / 215 / 260 from 85 / 120 / 155 / 190 / 225.
• Explosion AD ratio changed to 55 / 70 / 85 / 100 / 115% bonus AD from 40 / 65 / 90 / 115 / 140% bonus AD.

Wukong

Q – Crushing Blow

• Bonus AD ratio reduced to 50% bonus AD from 55%.

W – Warrior Trickster

• Cooldown increased to 22 / 21 / 20 / 19 / 18 seconds from 20 / 19 / 18 / 17 / 16.
• Decoy damage reduced to 30 / 35 / 40 / 45 / 50% from 35 / 40 / 45 / 50 / 55%.

E – Nimbus Strike

• Base damage increased to 80 / 120 / 160 / 200 / 240 from 80 / 110 / 140 / 170 / 200.

Patch 25.20 Skins

The brand new flower-themed Flora Fatalis skinline is arriving in this patch. The skin line will feature three brand-new skins, and the recipients of these skins are Lissandra, Fiddlesticks, and Soraka.
