Patch 14.2 for League of Legends is set to come out as the next big update of the Season.

League of Legends is off to a flying start as Patch 14.1 dropped with a bang. Riot has brought in all of the sweeping changes to alter how the game is being played. It’s no surprise that the meta has evolved around that for a little bit.

What also came with all those changes are the huge Ranked changes and the awesome cinematic. This cinematic certainly got me hyped, as well as our first look at an older version of Yasuo.

Riot also released a Patch 14.1B hotfix to address some issues, so we have that as well. That said, League of Legends has a long way to go in 2024. Patch 14.2 is being worked on as we speak, as there are going to be some fairly sized changes. Here is all that is known so far.

LoL Patch 14.2

Let’s first start with this patch, which is set to have quite a few changes. Here is what we know so far.

Champion Buffs

There are a bunch of buffs coming in Patch 14.2. Part of the reasoning behind this is the fact that a lot of the champions have been hit hard due to the item changes in 14.1. So, Riot is putting some buffs in for them to get the champions in an even playing state.

Ahri

Some compensatory buffs are coming for her E with a lower cooldown.

  • E – Charm:
    • Cooldown: 14 seconds >>> 12 seconds.

Camille

A number of changes are coming for Camille as her base health is increasing, amongst other things.

  • Base Stats:
    • Health: 640 >>> 670.
  • Passive – Adaptive Defenses:
    • Cooldown: 20/15/10 seconds >>> 18/14/10 seconds.
  • Q – Precision Protocol:
    • Bonus Movement Speed: 20/25/30/35/40% >>> 30/32.5/35/37.5/40%.

Darius

A bunch of buffs are coming to his Q – Decimate, along with some more Armor Pen.

  • Q – Decimate:
    • Mana Cost: 30/35/40/45/50 >>> 25/30/35/40/45.
    • Missing Health Healing: 13 – 39% >>> 15 – 45%.
  • E – Apprehend:
    • Bonus Armor Penetration: 15/20/25/30/35% >>> 20/25/30/35/40%.

Ezreal

Multiple abilities of Ezreal are getting the nod as Riot is buffing them for some pretty significant buffs.

  • Q – Mystic Shot:
    • Damage: 20/45/70/95/120 (+130% AD)(+15% AP) >>> 20/45/70/95/120 (+135% AD)(+15% AP)
  • W – Essence Flux:
    • Damage: 80/135/190/245/300 (+60% Bonus AD)(+70/75/80/85/90% AP) >>> 80/135/190/245/300 (+100% Bonus AD)(+70/75/80/85/90% AP).
  • R – Trueshot Barrage:
    • Damage: 350/500/650 (+100% Bonus AD)(+90% AP) >>> 350/525/700 (+120% Bonus AD)(+90% AP).

Garen

Riot is giving some defensive and offensive buffs to Garen.

  • W – Courage:
    • Damage Reduction Duration: 2/2.75/3.5/4.25/5 seconds >>> 4 seconds (at all ranks).
  • E – Judgement:
    • Damage: 4/8/12/16/20 (+0 − 8.2 (based on level)) (+32/34/36/38/40% AD) >>> 4/8/12/16/20 (+0 − 8.2 (based on level)) (+36/37/38/39/40% AD).

Gragas

With how Gragas is right now, Riot is giving some Health and Armor buffs while getting a faster Cask.

  • Base Stats:
    • Health Growth: 109 per level >>> 115 per level.
    • Armor Growth: 4.8 per level >>> 5 per level.
  • R – Explosive Cask:
    • Cooldown: 120/100/80 seconds >>> 100/85/70 seconds.

Gwen

Due to the new items, Gwen has been struggling a little. Thus, Riot is giving back more damage via her Passive.

  • Passive – Thousand Cuts:
    • Damage: 1% (+0.65% per 100 AP) of the target’s Maximum Health >>> 1% (+0.72% per 100 AP) of the target’s Maximum Health

Hwei

Even with new items and multiple buffs, Hwei is still not in a great state. So, Riot is giving him better cooldown numbers for his E – Subject: Torment.

  • E – Subject: Torment:
    • Cooldown: 15/14/13/12/11 seconds >>> 12/11.5/11/10.5/10 seconds.
    • EQ – Gaze of the Abyss:
      • Fear Duration: 1 second (at all ranks) >>> 1/1.125/1.25/1.375/1.5 seconds.

Illaoi

While Riot reinventing the map was a good thing, it had a negative effect on Illaoi. With how walls change and Illaoi’s Passive, she got an indirect nerfs. So, Riot is giving the following buffs.

  • Base Stats:
    • Base Mana: 300 >>> 350.
    • Mana Growth: 50 per level >>> 60 per level.
    • Health Growth: 109 per level >>> 115 per level.
  • Passive – Prophet of an Elder God:
    • Healing Per Tentacle Hit: 4.5% Missing Health >>> 5% Missing Health.

Karma

There are a few different types of buffs coming for Karma. Her Health is increasing while she is getting more Shielding and Damage.

  • Base Stats:
    • Base Health: 604 >>> 630.
  • Q – Inner Flame:
    • Damage: 70/120/170/220/270 (+50% AP) >>> 70/120/170/220/270 (+70% AP).
  • E – Inspire:
    • Shield Strength: 80/120/160/200/240 (+45% AP) >>> 80/125/170/215/260 (+60% AP).

Karthus

Riot is giving some more damage potential to Karthus in Patch 14.2.

  • Q – Lay Waste:
    • Damage: 43/61/79/97/115 (+35% AP) >>> 45/65/85/105/125 (+35% AP).
  • W – Wall of Pain:
    • Magic Resistance Reduction: 15% >>> 25%.

Shen

Riot is just giving a small AD buff to Shen.

  • Base Stats:
    • Attack Damage: 60 >>> 64.

Veigar

Like Shen, Veigar is also getting a small buff, except in this case, it is an increase in Health.

  • Base Stats:
    • Health: 550 >>> 580.

Champion Nerfs

On the flip side, many of these new items have made some champions stronger than intended. So, Riot is nerfing the following champions.

Blitzcrank

The start of the Season has been good to Blitzcrank, a bit too good it turns out.

  • Base Stats:
    • Armor: 40 >>> 37.
  • E – Power Fist:
    • Damage: 100% AD (+25% AP) Bonus Physical Damage >>> 80% AD (+25% AP) Bonus Physical Damage.

Fizz

In Patch 14.1, Fizz has risen from the pack as a very annoying mid lane champion. So, Riot is putting in some nerfs to bring him back to the pack.

  • Q – Urchin Strike:
    • Damage: 10/25/40/55/70 (+50% AP) >>> 10/25/40/55/70 (+45% AP).
  • W – Seastone Trident:
    • Damage: 20/30/40/50/60 (+40% AP) >>> 20/30/40/50/60 (+30% AP).

Jax

Since the release of Patch 14.1, Jax has been oppressive as a Bruiser with the new items. So, his ability to deal damage via his Counter Strike is being reduced.

  • E – Counter Strike:
    • Damage: 55/85/115/145/175 (+70% AP)(+4% of the target’s Maximum Health) >>> 40/70/100/130/160 (+70% AP)(+3.5% of the target’s Maximum Health).

Rumble

Another oppressive top laner is Rumble, who is really hard to counter in these solo queue games. So Riot is decreasing his overall damage.

  • Q – Flamespitter:
    • Damage: 135/150/165/180/195 (+110% AP)(+6/7/8/9/10% of target’s Maximum Health) >>> 135/150/165/180/195 (+110% AP)(+6/7/8/9/10% of target’s Maximum Health)

Teemo

Champion Adjustments

Nidalee is going to receive some adjustments along with recommended items being changed for her.

  • Nidalee

Item Buffs

Three items have been identified as being fairly out of the loop in the meta. So, Riot is giving them buffs or more buffs in the case of Stridebreaker.

  • Horizon Focus
  • Steel Sigil
  • Stridebreaker

Item Nerfs

Four Items are getting nerfs as Stormsurge is getting the brunt of it. Also, Bloodsong is too strong of a support item, while Frozen Heart and Riftmaker are too efficient. So, they are taking hits, too.

  • Bloodsong
  • Frozen Heart
  • Riftmaker
  • Stormsurge

Other System Changes

Riot is addressing a few outliers here as well as something new. Rune Shards are getting some changes after a really long time. Meanwhile, Support Item Stacking has been a huge conversation with Pro Play showing how ridiculous it is. Here are those adjustments.

  • Rune Stat Shards
  • Support Item Stacking

Skins

There are some skins on the horizon as the Primal Ambush Skins are coming alongside Three Honors Akshan. Here they are.
