The Worlds Patch is approaching with Patch 14.18 on the horizon.

It’s that time of the year again, it is time for the League of Legends World Championship. Each year, the best teams from around the world come together culminating in the biggest Esports event of the year, the League of Legends World Championship.

This year’s Worlds will be kicking off on September 25th, and to shape the meta for the tournament, Riot is planning to release the highly anticipated Worlds Patch. This year’s Worlds Patch, Patch 14.18 from the looks of it, is packed with massive changes.

The biggest change coming in this patch is the changes to ADC. Most prominent ADCs are receiving nerfs. Their go-to keystone, Fleet Footwork, is also taking a massive hit, along with some items such as Bloodthirster and Immortal Shieldbow. Additionally, we’re seeing some shifts in the Jungle meta.

That said, we have a ton more changes to cover, so, without further ado, let’s dive into it.

System Adjustments

Turret Fortifications

Lane-Swap has been a big part of the meta for the last couple of months. But it seems Riot isn’t a big fan of it, nor are most of the people who watch Esports. Thus Riot is buffing the Turret Fortifications pre five minutes to mitigate Lane Swaps.

  • Pre-5-minute damage reduction increased: 75% >>> 85%

Fleet Footwork

Marksmen have been running the meta for the last couple of months and the biggest reason behind it is the Keystone Fleet Footwork. The Keystone provides too much safety in the lane resulting in Marksmen thriving in all three lanes.

Which is why Riot is nerfing the keystones healing, especially for ranged champions.

  • Base heal increased: 5-100 >>> 10-130
  • Healing reduced to 60% for ranged
  • Minion healing changed from 20/10% (melee/ ranged) >>> 15% flat
  • Melee movement speed increased: 15% >>> 20%
