As Patch 12.20 has hit PBE, here is when it will be released in League of Legends.
League of Legends is one of the online games that gets many patches in a season. The patches usually include changes to champions, items, and other minor tweaks to keep the game balanced and fair. Thus, many patches are rolled out to keep the game balanced.
As mentioned, the patches generally include champion changes such as buffs or nerfs. The occasional reworks and champion releases are included as well. Item and Rune changes often happen since those can tilt certain champions to be too strong. Lastly, cosmetics are a big part of the patch notes as well.
Patch 12.20 will be coming out soon as it will bring in the Bewitching 2022 Skins and champions, items, and runes getting adjustments. Champions like Maokai, Aatrox, and Sett are getting a nerf after being oppressive in the meta. Also, two items, Steraks Gage and Mortal Reminder, are getting buffed, while Frozen Heart is getting nerfed. Lastly, Lethal Tempo is getting nerfed for being fairly oppressive.
