Recent leaks reveal new information regarding the upcoming Shyvana rework.
Back in February of 2022, Riot conducted a poll to determine the next champion to receive a full VGU (Visual Gameplay Update). There, Skarner won by a landslide, leading to the Skarner rework being released in Patch 14.7.
Right after Skarner, Shyvana was supposed to get her much-needed rework. However, her rework was delayed due to the delay in the Skarner rework. It was further delayed as the Rioters who were working on VGUs were laid off a couple of months ago.
As of now, it feels like her rework sits in a state of limbo. We have no official news as to how the rework will change the champion or when it will actually be released. That said, there have been some leaks regarding the upcoming Shyvana rework. These provided some insight into the potential direction of the rework and even a possible timeline.
With that in mind, let’s dive into what the leaks reveal about Shyvana’s upcoming rework.

Shyvana Rework Details Leaked
According to well-known League of Legends leaker Big Bad Bear, the Shyvana rework is proceeding smoothly and will arrive pretty soon. The leaker didn’t specify the exact release date, but it should arrive sometime in late 2025 or early 2026. Big Bad Bear also mentioned that the rework will be arriving with the Demacian season.

In addition to the release window, we also have some interesting details regarding her design. Apparently, her design will be close to the previously released concept art, specifically the third design shown in the above image.
She will have her tail in her human form and will don Demacian-style armor. Finally, she is said to have a muscular body and will have long, orangeish red hair.
That’s about all the information we have from the leaks, but there might be some new leaks pretty soon. So stay tuned.
