K/DA is finally back with new music. Riot Games released “FIRESTARTER” and its official music video on October 19, bringing Ahri, Akali, Evelynn, and Kai’Sa together for the group’s first new music since the ALL OUT era in 2020. A new EP follows on October 21, giving fans more to look forward to after the long wait.

The comeback pairs returning performers Miyeon and Soyeon with newcomers Sophie Powers and Mimi Webb. Fortiche, the animation studio behind Arcane, also returns to help give K/DA a fresh look.

In brief:

  • K/DA’s “FIRESTARTER” music video arrived on October 19, ending roughly six years without new music.
  • Miyeon and Soyeon return, joined by Sophie Powers and Mimi Webb.
  • The FIRESTARTER EP releases October 21.
  • Matching League of Legends skins are expected around Patch 26.22 on November 4, although that date remains unconfirmed. Inven Global

Fortiche helped introduce K/DA to the world with the “POP/STARS” music video in 2018. Its return for “FIRESTARTER” reconnects the group with the studio behind that debut, now also widely known for its work on Arcane. Choreographer Sean Bankhead handled the new video’s choreography.

“FIRESTARTER” gives all four members updated looks built around the comeback’s fiery theme. Ahri, Akali, Evelynn, and Kai’Sa remain the core lineup, with a visual refresh that introduces their next musical era.

Miyeon and Soyeon Return With Two New K/DA Singers

The champions are familiar, but two of the voices have changed. The featured lineup for “FIRESTARTER” is:

  • Ahri: Miyeon of i-dle
  • Akali: Soyeon of i-dle
  • Evelynn: Sophie Powers
  • Kai’Sa: Mimi Webb

Miyeon and Soyeon reprise their established roles, while Powers and Webb join for this release.

Madison Beer, who previously performed as Evelynn, does not feature on “FIRESTARTER.” Powers takes that role for the new track. The lineup change alone doesn’t establish why Beer is absent or whether she could return for a future project.

FIRESTARTER EP Release Date and Reported Tracks

The FIRESTARTER EP arrives October 21, just two days after the music video’s release.

Reports based on leaked track information list four songs: “FIRESTARTER,” “WATCH ME,” “NEVER GOING BACK,” and “GIRLS.” Those additional track details should still be treated as reported information pending the full official release.

“WATCH ME” was an early clue to the comeback. We previously covered its appearance in the ASCAP repertory, alongside leaked imagery showing the four champions’ FIRESTARTER designs.

K/DA FIRESTARTER Skins Expected in November

The comeback is also expected to bring matching cosmetics to League of Legends. Earlier reports point to November 4 and Patch 26.22 as the likely release window, with a possible PBE reveal on October 21. However, that schedule was presented as an expectation, so November 4 should remain a tentative date until Riot confirms it.
