JDG emerged victorious against BLG in the MSI 2023 Finals.
After a few weeks of MSI 2023, the Finals were on the horizon as JDG was set to face BLG. This is the first time we have had a Best of Five series between two LPL teams in a Final. The tournament has been one of the best so far in terms of format and other aspects. All the new changes to the format and more major regional teams have certainly improved the tournament.
In terms of both JDG and BLG, the first was one of the tournament favorites in the World. Meanwhile BLG was an unexpected finalist. Everyone was expecting the likes of T1 or Gen.G to make the Finals. However, BLG exceeded all expectations and was one series away from a trophy convincingly.
The MSI 2023 Finals ended just moments ago as JDG emerged victorious with a 3-1 score against BLG. It was quite a dominant series from JDG, as they were for the entire tournament. This is one of the few occasions that a superteam has won.

This team went into the offseason and acquired knight and Ruler, two of the best players in their positions. Through a dominant LPL run, they came to MSI and pretty much dominated the competition as well.
JDG is a team that gathered some of the best players in their respective roles and transformed that into an excellent team fighting team. A group of the best individual players became the best overall team goes to show how hard they worked to get there.
This trophy will put Ruler as the best ADC player for now, as he has won the LCK, LPL, Worlds, and MSI. Also, this is a big achievement for players like 369, Kanavi, and Missing, who have been with the team for a while.
However, the biggest statement was made by knight as he won MSI 2023 Finals MVP.

The MSI 2023 MVP is knight now that he has proven he is one of the best, if not the best mid laners in the World. With this award, knight has quelled any questions about him underachieving on the big stage. Now, knight is MVP, and JDG is poised to be one of the favorites for MSI 2023.
