Riot has revealed the upcoming Udyr skin, Inkshadow Udyr, which will release in patch 13.9.

Not long ago, Riot announced they would make a new skin line for MSI. And since MSI is on the horizon, they finally revealed that this skin line would be known as Inkshadow.

Inkshadow takes heavy inspiration from Eastern Calligraphy. It also has cel-shading effects, not too different from the Fright Night skins. But in terms of particles and sound effects, Inkshadow is one of the best recently released skin lines. This skin line will feature eight unique skins, one of which is Inkshadow Udyr.

Udyr is the last champion who received a VGU or Visual and Gameplay Update. His previous version wasn’t too special and was only viable during the Turbo Chemtank meta. But when Riot reworked him, he constantly was an S-tier champion. He was feasible in every single role, and players could build bruiser, tank, assassin, or even AP items with him. Despite Riot’s many attempts at nerfing him, he remains a top champion in the solo queue.

Though Udyr was released in 2009, he only has five skins. He does have one ultimate skin, Spirit Guard Udyr. But after his rework, Udyr hasn’t received any new skins. His last skin was Dragon Oracle Udyr, which was released in 2019. And this skin is still considered the best skin in Udyr’s arsenal. However, with the high-quality particles and sound effects the new skin provides, Inkshadow Udyr might become the best Udyr skin.
