Riot is planning some huge events and skins for MSI and Summer.
Riot Brightmoon and Riot Meddler shared an update on upcoming League of Legends skins as part of the mid-season dev diary only a few days ago. They shared some details regarding upcoming champion skins. They also said that various Wild Rift skins would be available on PC. New skins are also being created for champions who haven’t received them in a long time.
In addition, Riot Games announced that the upcoming Mid-Season Invitational (MSI) and Summer events in 2023 would feature exclusive skin thematics. The announcement was made in the recent Dev Update video posted to the official League of Legends Youtube channel.

Exclusive Skin Thematics For MSI & Summer
Riot Games has a history of releasing exclusive skin thematics during major events, such as the World Championship and the All-Star event. This year, Riot will also release exclusive skin thematic for MSI and Summer too.
The Mid-Season Invitational, or MSI, is an annual international tournament that brings together the best teams from various regions worldwide to compete for the title of MSI champion. The tournament is usually held in May and is the second biggest League of Legends event of the year.
According to Riot, the upcoming Mid-Season Invitational event will feature a brand new skin thematic that will be available exclusively during the tournament. Though they did not provide any details about the skin theme, it is expected to be related to the MSI tournament and its theme.
In addition to the MSI event, Riot also announced that the upcoming Summer events would feature exclusive skin thematics as well. These thematics will be related to the summer season and its associated activities and will be available exclusively during the summer events. They also mentioned that this year’s summer event would be quite large.
The announcement has generated a lot of excitement among the League of Legends community, as exclusive skin thematics are highly sought after by players. Also, maybe players might get something other than “Pool Party” skins this Summer.
