Need more public domain adaptations of Mickey Mouse!
Netizens are all hyped up as the trailer for a new Mickey Mouse Horror game, Infestation 88, gets released. The announcement of a Mickey Mouse adaptation within hours of the popular character entering the public domain has stirred quite the buzz. On the other hand, the title of the game seems to have references to Neo-Nazi abbreviations which has forced the Developers to change the name. Keep reading to find out more about Mickey Mouse going public Domain and Infestation 88 Devs responding to Neo-Nazi Claims.

Mickey Mouse as public Domain in Infestation 88
A reveal trailer for the new horror game Infestation 88 was published on YouTube about a day ago. Since then, the four-player co-op game has gotten a Steam page and is ready for you to wishlist. In the trailer, we can see a vermin outbreak taking place at an enclosure and exterminators being sent to neutralize it. But things take a horrific turn as the exterminators are attacked by a monstrous version of Mickey Mouse. From there on, you will have to survive and treat the infestations without falling victim to the evil Mickey Mouse. According to the developers, the game will have a progression system and a DLSS Support.
Devs response to Neo-Nazi Claims
Things have become a bit complicated for the Developers as they are accused of naming the game referencing a Neo-Nazi abbreviation. According to some online claims, the number 88 in the title references the Neo-Naiz abbreviation, which stands for “Heil Hitler“(H being the 8th number in the alphabetical order).
This has created a stir, and people have been calling out to the developers for answers. The Devs have responded by completely denying the claims and stating that it was picked only because of the game being set in the 80s and its symmetrical design. All of this trouble has forced Developers to change the game’s name to Infestation: Origins.
