In Honkai: Star Rail, Herta, the leader of the Herta Space Station, created a mechanism called the ‘Simulated Universe.’ The Simulated Universe is a roguelike combat challenge available to players to test their strength in combat. Here is a small guide on unlocking the Simulated Universe in Honkai: Star Rail.
How to Unlock the Simulated Universe
To unlock the Simulated Universe, you must complete the quest ‘Universe in a Nutshell,’ which will start shortly after you arrive at the Herta Space Station at the start of the game. After completing the quest, Herta will ask you to finish the tutorial mission. During the mission, you can enter the Master Control Zone in Herta’s Space Station and unlock the map.
To find the Simulated Universe, you need to go to Herta’s Office in the Master Control Zone in Herta’s Space Station, which is located at the bottom left of the map. You can teleport to Herta’s Office directly once you finish the side quest. After completing the Simulated Universe: First Closed Beta quest, you will unlock the ability to play World 1 in Simulated Universe.

After completing World 1 of the Simulated Universe, you can unlock the other Worlds to challenge. You have to complete a stage of each World to unlock the next and challenge them later. You can only take four characters to challenge the Simulated Universe, although you can bring more characters when you reach a specific part inside the Simulated Universe.
