How To Turn On Clutch Mute Feature in VALORANT

VALORANT has added a new feature that allows you to mute your teammates or party members and go incognito in clutch situations. So, in this article, we’ll show you how to turn on the Clutch Mute option.

VALORANT is a 5v5 tactical shooter game where precise gunplay meets unique Agent abilities. Ever since VALORANT was released, Riot Games has constantly been trying its best to keep the game more lively for the mass player base, and Riot Games has been pretty successful with it.

VALORANT is a team-based game where the players need to coordinate with each other in order to become victorious. So, communicating with your teammates is a very crucial part of VALORANT. However, too much communication can sometimes do the opposite for you and your team.

Being aware and listening to footsteps and your surroundings is as important as communicating with your teammates. There have been many situations where you couldn’t clutch a round just because your teammates had noisy broken mics or they were just being annoying.

How To Turn On Clutch Mute

In the 4.11 patch, VALORANT has added a very important in-game feature called Clutch Mute, which will allow you to mute your teammates immediately when you feel it necessary.
Here is a step by step guide on how you can turn on Clutch Mute from the settings:

  1. Go to Settings (Esc) > Controls > Communication
  2. Set keybinds for Party and Team Voice Clutch Mute Keys
  3. Press the keybind while in-game to Toggle “ON” the Party and/or Team Voice Clutch Mute and then again to Toggle “OFF”
  4. When “ON,” you can toggle the mute any time during your match when you hit the assigned keybind. An icon will appear so you know when it’s enabled.
