Enhancement Prisms are a core part of the economy in Destiny 2. Here’s an in-depth guide on how you can collect them in the game.
Destiny 2 is an action MMO with a single evolving world that you and your friends can join anytime, anywhere, absolutely free. Dive into the world of Destiny 2 to explore the mysteries of the solar system and experience responsive first-person shooter combat. Unlock powerful elemental abilities and collect unique gear to customize your Guardian’s look and playstyle.
In Destiny 2, legendary armors are highly sought after by the community, and you will need three Prisms to Masterwork a Legendary piece of armor, while five are required to Masterwork an Exotic armor. Master working gear is crucial for making the perfect build in Destiny 2. Since Beyond Light streamlined the Armor 2.0 process, creating a robust build has been more accessible.
Unfortunately, players will still need to struggle through Nightfalls and other challenging content to get their armor to rank ten. If it wasn’t obvious, Master working an entire armor set is costly when buying them from a vendor. Fortunately, there are quite a few affordable ways to obtain Enhancement Prisms in Destiny 2. So let’s have a look at all of them.

All the Ways You Can Collect Enhancement Prisms
Here we’ll showcase all the possible ways to collect Enhancement Prism in the game.
Completing Nightfall:
Ordeal activities are the primary source of obtaining Enhancement Prisms. However, the Beyond Light expansion has included various Ghost Shell mods that grant you the enchantment prism.
Banshee-44 and Ada-1
Every Vendor scattered across the system in Destiny 2 has something to sell. And if you look hard enough, you might come across Banshee-44 and Ada-1, who are known to offer you Enhancement Prisms for in-game items.
Basically, players can obtain Enhancement Prisms from the in-game Vendor. In the Destiny 2 Tower, Banshee-44 and Ada-1 sell Enhancement Prisms every day. They each have two options for Enhancement Prisms. The only difference between these options is what world material is being used.
Purchasing a Prism from Banshee or Ada requires the following:
- 10 Enhancement Cores.
- 25 planetary materials.
- 10,000 Glimmer.
The Spider
Steps on how to get them from the Spider:
- First, go to the tangled shore located within “The reef.”
- On the Tangled Shore, Spider sells Enhancement Prisms for 400 Legendary Shards every day, and here you can only purchase five prisms per day.
However, you can buy five separate times for each character. But as it takes longer to acquire 400 legendary shards, it’s the least efficient method.
Greater Core Harvest Ghost Mods
Master working a Ghost Shell will unlock a fourth mod slot that can equip unique activity mods. One of these mods, Greater Core Harvest, allows players to obtain Enhancement Prisms by partaking in core activities.
Here are all the core activities that might reward you with Enhancement Prisms:
- Greater Core Harvest (Vanguard): Defeating bosses in Vanguard playlist strikes of Nightfalls has a chance to award an Enhancement Prism.
- Greater Core Harvest (Crucible): Precision final blows in Crucible have a chance to award an Enhancement Prism.
- Greater Core Harvest (Gambit): Defeating invaders in Gambit has a chance to award an Enhancement Prism.
But you can’t obtain an enchantment prism by defeating enemies as an invader. Crucible’s Greater Core Harvest seems to be the best of all, granting one Enhancement Prism on average after landing 20 precision final blows.
Nightfalls that are at least Hero difficulty
Hero-level Nightfalls and above will be the best method for earning Enhancement Prisms. The higher difficulty Nightfall is more likely to reward players with Enhancement Prisms. On top of that, double rewards weeks will increase the number of Enhancement Prisms.
Equipping a Vanguard Greator Core Harvest Ghost mod will also increase the chances of another Enhancement Prism being awarded. Lastly, defeating Boss in Destiny 2’s Vanguard Strikes and Nightfalls will award you with the enchantment prism regardless of the difficulty.
Dismantling Armor (9+ Tier)
You can get Enchantment Prism by dismantling armor in Destiny 2. But you can only get Enchantment prism by dismantling Nine or better tier armors. This method is not so effective for early games or if you have limited armors.
Anyone should dismantle Tier Nine and above armor because they received the same armor with better stats. Otherwise, you should not Dismantal your armor for the Enchantment Prism.
Empire Hunts that are at least Hero difficulty
Completing Empire Hunts that are on Hero or a higher difficulty grants Enhancement Prisms. Empire hunts activity will only be available after the Beyond Light story is completed. Check out the Europa Activities page to find out what Empire Hunt is available this week.
Empire Hunts will cost fewer Herealways, if you have finished specific Sabotage Quests, that lower the cost. To get the weekly Empire Hunt challenge, you will need to complete Sabotage Quests to unlock them.
If you get stuck and can’t get any more Sabotage quests to complete, you may need to complete all Exo Stranger challenges that you may already have.
Vanguard Strikes and Trials of Osiris Ranks
Crucible, Gambit, Vanguard Strikes, and Trials of Osiris will reward Enhancement Prisms for increasing their ranks. Players can earn more Enchantment Prism every time their levels reset. The Vanguard Ops and The Nightfall playlists will increase your Vanguard Rank with Zavala.
Completing either activity will grant Vanguard a Rank a reputation. You can further improve your reputation gains through Activity Streaks and higher-difficulty Nightfalls. You can level up other Infamy Ranks With these methods.
If you reset your Infamy or Valor in a season, reaching rank 16 in either system will grant an additional two Enhancement Prisms, giving you four Enhancement Prisms in total per reset.
Season Pass
The season pass is the paid way of getting Enchantment Prism in Destiny 2, meaning each Season Pass grants Masterwork Materials as well as some Prisms if players own the current season. You will get three enchantment prisms on levels 60 and 70, a maximum of 6 enchantment prisms.
*Quantity may vary day/week
Unfortunately, free-to-play players won’t be able to get these enchantment prisms.
Remember that Bungie sometimes releases a double Nightfall loot week for Destiny 2, which grants two random rewards upon a Nightfall completion instead of one. Players can earn four Enhancement Prisms after every Master Nightfall completion. Farming Masterwork materials during a double loot week are highly recommended.
