The Sword of Morne

The Sword of Morne is a surprising pop-culture reference for the fans. Let’s get you this Sword of Morne in Elden Ring.

Learn, make mistakes, die, learn again, make mistakes again, and continue to die. That is the plot of stuffs from FromSoftware. The Devs have recently announced that they won’t be making any easy mode in Elden Ring. So, what can you expect from this? Nothing, keep finding the best gears, develop your arsenal, and get trampled by the two servants pulling the cartwheel.

I have already mentioned somewhere that if you feel you need to rant over this game, George R.R. Martin is the man. As he is one of the key writers besides Hidetaka Miyazaki, he also made sure to leave some pop references in the game. That is what the Sword of Morne basically is. Well, you can say this Sword of Morne is the discount version of the Iron Throne in Game of Thrones. Reduced the ranting, aye?

Where to get this Sword of Morne in Elden Ring?

Ride your horse or walk to the Weeping Peninsula, in the southern part of Limgrave. There, you will come across Castle Morne. And you will find an NPC that will give you the quest to retrieve this Sword of Morne. Of course, the place is abundant with beasts and whatnot. That is not a problem for a fellow mate, you, right?

How to get the Sword of Morne?

How else do you think you are going to get this? Fight the beasts; you skilled goofy! But I will suggest you upgrade your stats a bit before facing Leonine Misbegotten, the keeper of the castle. Well, if a game is from FromSoftware, no upgrade is enough until you learn the combat patterns of any boss.

Señor Leonine Misbegotten is quite a tough nut to crack. But if you got strategies, he can be dealt with without pausing the game. Though he is fast and strong, several spells work really well against him. So, watch out for his openings and time the attacks.

Once he has hit the floor, you will be rewarded with the Sword of Morne. You can either give it back to the NPC who asked for it in the first place and complete the quest or wield it for yourself. But not until your strength level has reached 40, mate.
