The game has several types of monsters; some are peace-loving, while others are extremely violent. To make it to the final day and to be able to sell the items to the company, you need to defeat or overcome these monsters anyhow.
To help you with this task, the developers have added the Shovel to the game. It is one of the must-have items while you are exploring through the facility or the abandoned moons. The shovel is the only offensive weapon you can buy to kill monsters. So, there is no alternative to it. While it might not be able to help you get rid of monsters like the Red Dress Girl, it will surely be useful while you are fighting most of the other monsters.

How to Get the Shovel in Lethal Company
Getting the Shovel is as easy as getting most of the items in Lethal Company. Before landing in any moon, you can order the Shovel using the Terminal, and it will cost you 30 credits. Follow these simple steps to get a Shovel:
- Stand in front of the Terminal and interact with to gain access.
- Type ‘Store’ and press enter.
- Type ‘Shovel’ to order the item.
- You can add the number of shovels you want by including the amount after the name. For example: “Shovel x 2”
- Press enter and then type ‘Confirm’ to confirm the order.
Once you have ordered the Shovel, you will get it after landing on the moon. Pick a moon to land, and after you have landed, look out for a supply drop that will deliver all the items you ordered from the store. If you cannot find the supply drop, try to hear carefully a tone that will be playing. The supply drop will land near your ship, so don’t go far looking for it.
How to Use the Shovel in Lethal Company
The shovel can be used to kill several monsters in Lethal Company. It only weighs 19 pounds and is one of the lightest weapons to carry in the game. The shovel can kill the following monsters:
- Snare Flea
- Hoarding Bug
- Baboon Hawks
- Bunker Spider
- Thumper
- Eyeless Dog
It is recommended to use the Shovel along with a Zap gun if you have your teammate nearby; tell him to use the Zap gun to demobilize a monster so that you can hit it easily. You can use the Shovel by pressing the Left Mouse Button, which will charge the item up and then land a strike. The shovel can also kill your ally if it hits accidentally, so be careful when charging the weapon.
Also, remember that the Shovel can’t do anything to the Hygrodere green slime-like monster, rather it will do the opposite. Once hit with Shovel, the Hygrodere will start moving faster.
