What is the TFMR0100 Error Code?
The TMRF0100 Error code is a matchmaking-related issue which is affecting both new and concurrent players. Like every other live service title, the Finals requires a stable internet connection at all times. So, a bad internet connection might cause you to encounter this error code.
How to Fix TFMR0100 Error Code
Fix for New Players
This error code might be more prevalent for new players when they lobby with another new or concurrent player, so the easiest way to fix it would be to play Quick Cash game mode instead of Bank It game mode.
However, if you’re still facing the error after queueing up for Quick Cash, then you can opt for the following methods:
1. Try VPN
You can use any reliable VPN that you have available. If you don’t have one, you can download and install WARP, as it is a free and easy-to-use but reliable VPN option.
To download, install and use WARP:
1. Go to WARP’s official download website.
2. Click on Windows to download WARP for Windows 10 or 11.
3. Download the.msi file and open it
4. Follow the instructions of the WARP Setup Wizard, install WARP, and press Finish
5. After the installation is finished, click on “Show hidden icons” from the bottom-right side of your taskbar. You’ll find the WARP VPN with the cloud logo. Now click on Cloudflare WARP
6. After the WARP VPN opens, click on the gear icon in the bottom left corner of the app and select 1.1.1.1 with WARP.
Note: Make sure to use “1.1.1.1 with WARP” and not “1.1.1.1”, as it might not fix The Finals’ crashing issue.
7. Now, press the white circle and turn the WARP VPN on
7. Your VPN setup is done. Now, launch The Finals normally
Now, if your game launches normally without an issue, then great! The VPN saved you. However, if you’re still getting the connection failed error, then the problem may not be with your internet.
2. Check Steam and The Finals Server Status
If you face the error even after using the VPN, you might want to check if the Steam and The Finals servers are up and running.
To check the Steam server status, go to the Steamstat.us website and find the specific region you are in. If your region is showing OK under the CM column, then the Steam servers are not down in your region.
To check if The Finals server is up and running, head over to their official Twitter account and check their posts.
3. Disable Other Applications
Open your Task Manager from the Taskbar and look for any application consuming excess bandwidth. Disable any program that consumes excess network bandwidth, and it might make your internet connection a little better.
4. Verify Game Files
If other fixes are still causing the error code then verify your game files by following these steps:
- Head to the Finals tab on Steam.
- Click on “Properties” from the Finals game page.
- Navigate to the Installed Files tab.
- Then click on the “Verify Integrity of Game Files” prompt.
- If any of your files are corrupt, then Steam will redownload those files to fix the in-game issues.
So, hopefully, our fixes will help you fix the TFMR0100 Error Code in the Finals. However, if the problem still keeps popping up for you, then have patience and wait for Embark Studios to release a hotfix or update.
