Having been digitized, Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel goes several steps beyond what the original game offered us. In addition to letting us battle players from all over the world, the game also has unique features that truly make Master Duel an immersive experience for both newcomers and veterans. One such feature would be its card crafting system, which allows players to create their own customized decks by crafting the specific card(s) they need.
Card Crafting System – How It Works
In addition to getting Cards and Structure Decks as rewards for completing Solo Missions, winning Ranked Duels, leveling up your Duel Pass, or purchasing them with Gems from the Shop, you can also create your own custom decks by crafting cards that you haven’t unlocked yet. Crafting is really easy and instantaneous, and all you need to do is spend some Crafting Points.
What are Crafting Points in Yu-Gi-Oh Master Duel?
This crafting system utilizes Crafting Points or CP, which are sort of treated like a form of in-game currency. However, the Crafting Points needed to craft a specific card depend on the card’s rarity. In Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel, the rarity of cards is classified into four types: Normal (N), Rare (R), Super Rare (SR), and Ultra Rare (UR). Therefore, the Crafting Points required to create cards of each rarity are CP N, CP R, CP SR, and CP UR, respectively. Crafting a single card costs 30 CP.
How to Craft Cards using Crafting Points?
Unfortunately, the crafting section does not appear as a separate section in the main menu, so players might feel a little bit lost. To craft cards in Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel, head straight to the Deck tab from the main menu. From there, you can either open the Deck you have already been working on or click on the “+” icon to create a new deck.
On the right side of the screen, you will have a Card List that shows a list of all the cards that you have and haven’t unlocked to date. Each card’s rarity will be labeled on top of the card as N, R, SR, or UR. You can scroll through them to see which one you need. For example, if you happen to be looking for a specific card, you can type out its name on the search bar provided in the Card List section for easier access.
All details and effects of the card selected will be displayed on the left side of the screen. This will help you make an informed decision regarding whether or not you really need this card in your Deck. At the very bottom of this section, you will find two buttons; one for Dismantle, and the other for Generate. Click on Generate, select the number of cards you want to craft and select Generate again. Violà, you have successfully crafted yourself a card!
How to get Crafting Points Yu-Gi-Oh Master Duel?
You need to have enough Crafting Points to be able to craft the cards you need to build yourself a deck that suits your playstyle. And there are a lot of ways you can get them. You can easily earn CP from completing Limited-Time Missions, Unlimited Missions, and leveling up your Duel Pass. The number of CP rewarded from the Duel Pass can be doubled if you purchase the Duel Pass (Gold).
However, the fastest and most efficient way of earning CP in Yu-Gi-Oh Master Duel is through Dismantling Cards. Dismantling a single card yields players 10 CP of its corresponding rarity, given it is a Basic Non-Foil Card. If it happens to be a Glossy Finish card, you will get 15 CP for it. Lastly, if it is a Royal Finish card, dismantling it would yield you 30 CP.
How to Dismantle Cards in Yu-Gi-Oh Master Duel?
In order to Dismantle a card, head on to the Deck tab from the main menu, access your existing Deck or create a new one to access the Crafting section. Once you select a card that you don’t need from the Card List section, click on the Dismantle button at the bottom left of the screen. Then, select the number of cards you want to get rid of and click Dismantle.
It is advisable to dismantle duplicate cards if you have too many of a single type. However, the process of individually selecting and dismantling cards one by one can be tedious. That’s why the game has offered players a nifty feature that makes the dismantling process very fast and efficient.
On the very top right corner of your screen, you will find a button with three lines on it. It is right beside the save button, so you can’t miss it. Click on the button, and select “Dismantle All Extra Cards.” Doing so will select every card you have more than 3 copies of. It will then show you the net CP you will earn from dismantling all the extra cards, so you know exactly how much you’re getting. Finally, select Dismantle and use those Crafting Points to craft your desired cards.
