How to Unlock Fishing and Catch Fish in V Rising
In V Rising, you need to be at least level 20 to unlock fishing. That is because fishing is tied to a quest, and to do the quest you need to be level 20. Here is how you unlock fishing.
Unlocking Fishing in V Rising
To unlock fishing, you need a fishing rod. And to get the fishing rod, you need a Crafting Bench. And lastly, to get a crafting bench, you need to complete a quest. This quest is to find and defeat Rufus, The Foreman.
As long as you are level 20, you can do all these to get your hand on a fishing rod. If you are not level 20, chances are you will not be able to defeat Rufus. So, get to level 20 and then track down and kill Rufus.
Taking down Rufus will grant you the ability to use the Woodworking Bench, which is the crafting bench of this game. Rufus will also drop the fishing rod recipe. Now all you have to do is collect the materials for the fishing rod and build it.
You will need 4 Coarse Threads, 4 Copper Ingots, and 8 planks to craft a fishing rod. When you get all the materials, simply click on the crafting bench and make the fishing rod. This way, you can unlock fishing in V Rising.
How to Catch Fish in V Rising
In V Rising, you cannot just fish anywhere you want. You can only fish in areas with bubbles coming up from the body of water. These bubbles indicate that it is a fishable area. If you want to fish, you should keep an eye for them as they can be hard to track if you don’t know the locations they can show up.
Once you find a bubble area, go to the area and press the right click on the water to cast your fishing rod. Now, wait some time until the area starts to glow. When it starts to glow, left-click again to reel the lure out of the water, and you have caught your first fish in V Rising.
