Evil Dead: The Game, like many others, features Crossplay. That means you can play with or against other players on a different platform than you. But you can also turn it on or off as you please. Here we will show you how you do this.
Evil Dead: The Game is an asymmetrical 4v1 game where you can play as survivors or demons. If you are playing as a survivor, you have a list of objectives you need to complete without dying. And if you are playing as a demon, your task is to delay and eventually kill the survivors before they can accomplish their objectives.
Evil Dead: The Game is a multiplayer game with some single-player side content. But the main focus of the game is the multiplayer. So naturally, it is better to experience the game with friends. But sometimes, we cannot play the games with friends because they are on a different platform than yours.
Evil Dead: The Game incorporates the Crossplay because of this reason. Because of the Crossplay, you can play with your friend even if they are on a different platform. But there are times you may want to turn it off. Here is how you can turn off Crossplay.

Turning off Crossplay in Evil Dead: The Game
Crossplay is an excellent feature to have. You can play with friends across other platforms because of it. But this is not the only thing it is suitable for. For example, Crossplay enables the matchmaking pool to have more players. That results in less queue time and less waiting.
If you want to turn off Crossplay, it is not hard to do. Follow these steps to turn off Crossplay in Evil Dead: The Game.
- Go to the Main Menu.
- Now, go to the Settings Menu.
- On the Settings menu, you will find the “Game” option, press on that.
- You will find the “Crossplay” option on the top of the Game Settings Menu.
- If you want to turn off Crossplay, press on the Crossplay and uncheck the box.
- If you want to turn it on again, follow the same process and check the crossplay box.
Turning off Crossplay is not a good idea since there is no benefit you get from it. Furthermore, if you turn it off, you will limit your matches within the platform you are on. Thus, it is highly likely you will need to wait sometime before you find a game since the player pool will become a lot smaller.
