Here is all you need to know if you want a solid roof over your head in Palworld

Palworld is a game that seamlessly integrates elements of battle, monster-capturing, base building, crafting, and training. You as the player will have the option to wield a wide range of weapons, from traditional bows and spears to top-of-the-line assault rifles and rocket launchers. Enriching your fighting capability requires you to have a good mix of powerful weapons and powerful pals.

Like Pokemon, the process of capturing pals involves throwing an item called a sphere after getting a pal to low enough health. Captured pals become capable allies in combat, each having a distinct set of skills and attributes. Not to mention that your army of pals will help you gather your day-to-day resources and also hasten the process of building your base.

Now, crafting and base building are a core part of Palworld. But the building mechanics are kind of finicky and take some time getting used to. Adding a roof to any of your structures is one of the tougher parts of building your base.

Slanted roofs, although look very cozy, need some extra effort to build. So, if you need a little help, you’ve come to the right place!

How To Build A Plain And A Slanted Roof in Palworld

First things first, to build a roof in Palworld, you first need to make sure that you have unlocked the Wooden Structure Set from the Technology Tree with Tech Points.

Once you unlock it, you’ll see that the game currently gives you two types of roofs to choose from. One is a basic flat roof (Wooden/Stone Roof) and another is a slanted roof (Wooden/Stone Slanted Roof).

The first option, or the plain roof is fairly easy to place. First of all, open up the build menu, select the plain roof of your choice, and place it on the walls of your structure. You’ll see that the wall automatically snaps into place when you angle it correctly with the walls. So head inside your structure, and point your cursor on the top of the walls to have the plain roof properly placed.

However, the trickier of the two roofs is definitely the slanted one. By tricky, we mean that the building mechanics in Palworld require slanted roofs to be supported in some way in order to be built.

Now, there are a few ways you can place the slanted roof, but I’ll go over the one method I found to be the simplest. Let’s go over it step by step.

  • After setting up the walls of your structure, build a roof with the simple wooden/stone plain roof.

  • Then build a slanted roof outside of the structure against the walls. Follow the picture below for easy reference.

  • Finally, build a slanted roof on the top of the house using the previous lower slanted roof as a base.

And there you have it, do the same thing for all the other walls and destroy the lower slanted roofs once you’re done!
