Activision recently released its yearly report, which stated that 125 million players had played Warzone since its launch in 2020. Warzone has 98 million active users currently. However, it is the lowest number of active players the game has seen. In 2021, there were 127 million active players. The decrease in the player count is due to the decline in COVID cases ending lockdowns worldwide.

Warzone’s player count started dropping with the release of BOCW, as most players were unhappy with Verdansk 84′ and Rebirth Island. The chart below demonstrates the player count throughout the game’s lifecycle.

Warzone’s player count has declined further after Vanguard failed to meet expectations. Furthermore, most players left the game as cheaters were flooding the game.
