Horizon Forbidden West: How To Get All The Mounts

Mounts can be one of the most valuable things in the game.

The next PlayStation Exclusive is now out, and fans from all around are jumping in to go on another journey with Aloy. The new Horizon game will not only let you kill big machines but ride them too. Going to some places can be challenging, and mounts can help change that. Moreover, below we made a complete guide on unlocking all the mounts in Horizon Forbidden West.

How to Get All The Mounts

Like Horizon Zero Dawn, Forbidden West also has Mountains you can ride. In total, there are four mounts in the game for now. Mounts are machines that you can turn into allies and ride throughout the Horizon World. To turn them into allies, players will have to first their Override Cauldrons. For every mount, you need a different Cauldron, and to get these Cauldrons, you will have to explore Dungeons that contain them. Furthermore, below you can check out how to get the Cauldrons to access the Mounts.

The first mount you can find in Horizon Forbidden West will be Charger. Unlike other mounts, you will have access to Charger from the beginning of the game. You will have the override code for Charger as you start the game, and these machines can be beneficial. Chargers are fast, although they are weak, so riding around in the game, make sure your mount isn’t taking much damage since it won’t be able to handle any.

After you finish the early primary mission, “The Embassy,” players will be asked to complete an optional objective to capture a Charger. This mission will teach you how to sneak up on them from behind and use them as a mount.

You need Cauldron overrides to unlock new mounts and to make machines friendly. Unlike Charger, you will have to find the override Cauldron of Bristleback. Although during the main story in the mission “The Dying Lands,” players will obtain the TAU Cauldron for Bristleback. Bristlebacks are fast and can be very useful for digging up resources.

They can be helpful in situations when you will need to fight, as they can have different elemental attacks depending on the type you have as a mount. However, they are not robust against electricity attacks, but they can withstand acid attacks.

Clawstrider

Clawstrider is one of the most potent mounts you will encounter in the game. These velociraptors look alike can be excellent fighters with the only drawback of their speed. However, you will need to get the IOTA Cauldron to get them as your allies. You can get this Cauldron in the North of Scalding Spear. Fans will have to go into the dungeon and obtain the IOTA Cauldron to tame Clawstrider.

Sunwing

The last machine you can tame on Horizon Forbidden West is Sunwing. This machine will let you ride on its back and see the beautiful World of this game in a brand new way. Sunwing can be beneficial in the game as it will allow you to go to different places quickly. You will get this mount as part of your journey, but you will have to reach a certain point in the game to get the mount.

To first tame the beast, you will need the Gemini Cauldron. After completing the 14th Main Story mission, players will get the Gemini Cauldron and access to one of the most exciting Mounts in the game.
