Get Insect Axe and Hammer
You will need Insect Axe, which is a Level 2 Axe. With it, you can easily cut down the Weed Stems in the garden and collect them to craft the pet house.
After that, you can use Hammer to break the Acorn Shell you find under the Oak Tree.
