The gameplay of God of War Ragnarok is built on the foundation of the previous game. But this time around, everything is grander with more options. And Atreus is also no expectation. During your playthrough, you will get a few different bows you can craft.

How to Upgrade Atreus’s Bow in God of War Ragnarok
Atreus has three different levels you can upgrade his bow. And during the gameplay, he will be getting two extra bows. Fortunately, all three bows use the same materials for the upgrade. You can access the upgrade menu from any blacksmith or crafting station. Simply interact with the Blacksmith, then go to the Atreus option, then the weapons section. There you will find the Bows for the upgrade.
The bow needs Ydalir Timber for the upgrade. You will need 4x to get a bow to level 2 and 7x more to get it to level 3. Thus you need a total of 11x Ydalir Timber to max out a bow.
How to Get Ydalir Timber in God of War Ragnarok
Ydalir Timber can be found in the different chests during the game. But one prominent area where you can get a lot of them is Ironwood. If you haven’t reached the Ironwoods, keep playing, and you will find yourself in the Ironwood playing as Atreus. Go around and explore the area thoroughly, and you will find a lot of Ydalir Timber during your time there.
