There is more than just stunning winter scenery to see in Ghost of Yōtei. The map is full of hidden items, secret trinkets, and mysterious story pieces. Not only do these treasures let you learn more about the world and its lore, but they also give you access to gear, cosmetics, and side content. As players learn more about the game, some secret places have already been found. This tutorial brings together those results and gives you a useful way to find out what’s concealed.

Disclaimer: Because Ghost of Yōtei is still new, additional secrets may be found over time. Use this as a living guide.

Locations & How to Find Them (Map / Region Guidelines)

Based on video footage and promotional material, here are some additional specific tips or region-based advice on where you might locate these secrets.

Mount Yōtei Region & Highlands

  • Ghost Mask (Mount Yōtei’s Secret): A ghost mask can be found behind a narrow cave entrance in a snowy ravine near Mount Yōtei’s slopes. You’ll likely need to follow a side trail or break through a hidden passage.
  • Yōtei Six Emblem near shrines or mural walls: Look for isolated shrines or stone mural walls along cliffs in the Mount Yōtei area. In teasers, we see emblem panels embedded in stone walls inside alcoves.

Village/Settlement Paths & Trail Walls

  • Wanted Posters in small settlements: Walk along village alleys or small settlement walls. The secret posters often hide in corners or behind boxes, only visible from certain angles.
  • Breakable walls/back rooms: Some secrets (blueprints or masks) require you to break through destructible walls behind buildings or caves along village outskirts. The promotional footage shows glimpses of weapon blueprints in hidden back rooms.

Cartographer & Map Discovery

  • Isaburo the Cartographer’s maps: Isaburo, the Cartographer, sells maps that point out hidden POIs and help players locate secret items. Interact with him or seek his shop (likely in a central hub area) to buy or receive maps that guide you to mural walls, hidden caves, or emblem sites.

As the community plays and documents more, I’ll update this guide with screenshots, coordinates, and map overlays.
