The Genshin Impact Yelan Web “To Ensnare a Prey” Event is live, and players can get up to 40 Primogems and other in-game rewards.
Genshin Impact v2.7 is coming out in a few days. The update will introduce us to new story quests, world quests, and events. Additionally, we will also get the new 5 star Hydro Bow character Yelan.
Before almost every new 5 star character release, Mihoyo, the developer of Genshin Impact, hosts a new web event. These web events offer some Primogems and in-game rewards to participants.
Mihoyo has also made a new web event for Yelan as well, and it’s called “To Ensnare a Prey”. In this web event, players have to help Yelan capture a culprit from the Ministry of Civil Affairs who is leaking information.

The web event will begin on 26th May 2022 at around 12:00 and run until 31st May 2022 at around 23:59 (UTC+8)

Event Summary:
During the event, you will need to complete the designated event tasks to help the Ministry of Civil Affairs find the culprit that leaked the Ministry’s classified information. Upon completion, you will receive in-game items as rewards.
Gameplay Details:
- Complete the designated event tasks, read Yelan’s intel note, find clues through conversations, and zero in on the culprit that leaked the classified information of the Ministry of Civil Affairs to claim in-game items as rewards.
- After successfully identifying the culprit, share the event to get the event wallpaper.
Guide:
- First, click on the Event link, log into your HoYoverse account and select the server.
- The event will start, and a member of the Milileth will come and talk to Yelan and give her some case files.
- After receiving the case files, you can click on the “Share to gain more information” button and press the copy link button to get more clues about the suspect.
- Then Yelan will talk to all the suspects one by one.
- After that, click on the “Conversation Records” button at the top right corner.
- Inside the Conversation Records, click on the text you consider suspicious. These are highlighted and bolder than other text.
- You can also click the right arrow button to turn the page and review the conversation with each suspect.
- Even if you identify the wrong suspect, you can try multiple times until you get the right one.
- The actual culprit is the Greddy Treasure Hoarder.
- After you identify the guilty suspect, the Guilty Indeed page will appear, and you can press Confirm button.
- Finally, you will get all the event rewards via in-game mail within 5-10 mins-

- Mystic Enhancement Ore x 2
