Genshin Impact v1.5 pre-installation date was recently revealed.
Genshin Impact v1.4 introduced us to the Mondstradt Windblume Festival. But that was a while ago and most veteran Genshin Impact players have already gone through all the content. So now something new is needed to sate the veterans. Mihoyo recently teased all the things that are coming in the v1.5 update.
Genshin Impact v1.5 is getting released soon and players are eagerly waiting for the update. The new v1.5 update will introduce a bunch of new game mechanics and story missions as well as events for players. We were also shown the housing system called Serenitea pot and some of its features. So naturally, the hype for the v1.5 update is higher than ever.
Pre-installation is a relatively new feature added by Mihoyo that allows players to download the upcoming game updates beforehand. This helps in preventing players from waiting for a long download to finish when a new update drops. Recently Mihoyo revealed the pre-installation date for the upcoming v1.5.
Genshin Impact v1.5 Pre-Installation Date:
The v1.5 pre-installation function will be available starting 2021/04/26 11:00 (UTC+8).
Players can pre-install the v1.5 starting from the above-mentioned date up to when the v1.5 update drops.
How to Pre-install:
There are several ways for Genshin Impact players to pre-install their game before the actual update. Mihoyo themselves revealed the ways players on different platforms can pre-install their games.
Mobile (iOS & Android)
“Method 1: Travelers may begin pre-installing update resources by going to the Paimon Menu > Settings > Other > Pre-Install Resource Package.
Method 2: Travelers may also begin pre-installing update resources by tapping the “Pre-Install Resource Package” icon on the bottom left corner of the login menu.”
Mobile users will be unable to play the game while the pre-install is happening. So complete everything at hand before starting the pre-installation.
“When the version update is released, Travelers on iOS devices must enter the App Store and tap Update. Android users may open the game and follow the directions on-screen (or open Google Play and tap Update).”
PC:
“After the pre-installation function is available, you must first update the Genshin Impact Launcher. After updating the launcher, a “Game Pre-Installation” button will appear to the left of the “Launch” button. Click “Game Pre-Installation” to download the latest game resources.
After completing pre-installation, when the version update is released, open the launcher again and click “Update” to install the game directly without any further need to download game resources.”
Pc players will be able to enjoy the current version of the game even when the pre-installation is ongoing.
