The British Rainbow Six: Siege player Ben “CTZN” McMillan is departing from G2 Esports, as officially announced by the organization today.
The 23-year-old star player has now been signed by the North American team of Soniqs Esports. He will be replacing Evan “Kanzen” Bushore on the team, who has been on the bench after the Jönköping Major.
After leaving Natus Vincere in March 2020, CTZN was signed by G2 Esports. The British Siege player made a significant contribution to the team’s success for three seasons, helping them earn titles of the GSA League 2020: Finals, European League 2020 Finals, and GSA League 2021. He also helped G2 finish in the top three in European League 2020 Stage 1, Six August 2020 Major Europe, and European League 2021 Stage 2.
After two years with the team, I am leaving G2 Esports with a heavy heart, because with her I have experienced all the ups and downs, good times and bad, and gave it my all. Thanks to G2 Esports, players and staff for believing in me. But now it’s time to move on to a new chapter in my career
CTZN
In these past three seasons, CTZN has been one of the most consistent players of G2 Esports. At the same time, he became one of the greatest Siege players of all time with his incredible plays throughout all the EUL playdays and Major tournaments.
Rumors were already spreading about this potential transfer of CTZN to Soniqs, and now with the move becoming official, only time will tell who will fill the big shoes in G2’s Rainbow Six roster. According to a few sources, it seems like ‘BlaZ’ from Parabellum Esports might be the one to take that mantle.
Six Invitational 2023 will already spicing up, so keep following us for the latest updates.
