The download size on the PlayStation 5 of the upcoming RPG game was leaked earlier online.

Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth is an upcoming action role-playing game developed and published by Square Enix. The game is a sequel to 2020’s Final Fantasy 7 Remake and the second game in a planned trilogy of games of the original PlayStation title Final Fantasy 7 from 1997.

Rebirth is set after the events of Remake, where players will control Cloud Strife and the eco-terrorist group Avalanche. The team will journey across the planet to prevent the megacorporation Shinra from its life essence, the Lifestream.

Cloud Strife and the team will have to fight enemies and defeat Sephiroth, a former elite soldier who intends to unite with the planet to achieve greater power.

FF7 Rebirth Download Size Leaked

According to PlayStation Game Size on Twitter/X, Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth’s download size will be a staggering 145 GB. If the information is accurate, this will make Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth the largest PlayStation 5 game to date.

However, the file size could be even bigger if Square Enix changes or updates the game files before launch. The pre-loading for the game will begin on February 27, 2024, and users will have two days to pre-load the game.

In addition to the full game’s file size, PlayStation Game Size also discovered a Final Fantasy VII Rebirth playable demo on the PlayStation database. The players who will play the demo will be receiving the ‘Kupo Charm – Survival Set’ in the game after the release. Moreover, the demo will also feature save transferring, meaning players who will play the demo can transfer their progress to the final version.
