At the very first, you need to complete the two-part “Teach Me a Lesson” quest series. The first part involves obtaining a picture of the Calamity from the Hateno Ancient Tech Lab. You need to pass it to Uma, who turns out to be a farmer in Hateno Village.
In the second part, you need to gather some ingredients to make Monster Curry. For that, you will need Hylian Rice, Monster Extract, and Goron Spice. After you have gathered all the ingredients, deliver these to Uma. Once both quests are finished, a farm will be available for use. Make your way to the southwest of the school building in Hateno Village, and you will be able to call yourself a proud farmer of Hateno Village.
Grow Crops in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom
To start growing crops on your farm:
- First, find a plot of land in Hateno Village.
- Talk to Uma once again. No worries, she is really friendly. She will give you great advice and seeds.
