Apex Legends is a free-to-play FPS that brought the idea of a hero shooter in the popular battle royale genre.
Since Apex Legends is a free-to-play title, there is very little incentive left for players after they reach the level cap of 500 right now. Apex fan ZyDriiX came up with a reworked concept of the level cap/ prestige system in Apex Legends. If Respawn ever decides to implement it, this would definitely provide more rewards to players who grind a lot.

What would this rework mean for grinders?
Many players in Apex Legends just like to grind through the levels very fast. For those players, there are very little things left to do after they hit the current level cap of 500. This concept would really reward those grinders for investing so much of their time and effort into this game.
At the end of the day, Apex Legends is a free-to-play title published by EA. They have to make their money somehow. Apex already has a battle pass system as well as event-exclusive skins that normal Apex packs can’t open. Having said all that, every event in this game now costs around 220$ to unlock all the character skins and unlockables fully.
Giving players an extra bit of incentive to grind more would actually work in the favor of Apex Legends in the long run. Right now, the Apex Legends pro scene is in shambles. Due to the unfortunate situation around the world, Apex’s competitive scene is not where it wants to be right now.
With season 5 just right around the corner, Respawn is teasing that a big change is coming to the map, and a possible Mirage rework is in the works. A new season is always an exciting time for Apex Legends fans. Hopefully, Respawn will actually implement some of these ideas in the upcoming season of Apex Legends.
