Epic Games quietly replaced the Fallout Classic Collection from the free games section without any announcements.

Epic Games previously announced that the store will give away the Fallout Classic Collection from February 22 to February 29, 2024. The Fallout Classic Collection consists of Fallout, Fallout 2, and Fallout Tactics: Brotherhood of Steel, the franchise’s first three games. However, Epic Games replaced the Fallout Classic Collection titles from the Free Games section on its store and replaced it with Super Meat Boy Forever.

Epic Games Store gives users free games every week, which they can claim after logging on to the store to keep them in the library forever. On some occasions, the store will give away AAA titles. However, this is the first time Epic Games replaced a title with another one from the store after announcing it.

Replacing the Weekly Free Game on the Epic Games Store

Epic Games Store users were supposed to receive three free classic Fallout titles. All three titles from the Fallout Classic Collection were listed in the Free Games section on the Epic Games Store. However, Epic Games removed the Fallout titles and replaced them with the indie title Super Meat Boy Forever.

It is unknown why Epic Games changed the free game on its store, and it is something that has never happened on the platform. Epic Games has not addressed or announced why the store decided to change. However, this could be disappointing to the fans because some of them were excited to play the first Fallout games of the series.

Super Meat Boy Forever is an indie platform video game developed by Team Meat and released on December 23, 2020. The game is a really fun indie title, but the fans might be disappointed cause they will miss out on three AAA titles.

Epic Games’ decision to remove the trilogy from the store is probably because they previously gave away all three titles for free last year. Currently, Epic Games Store is giving away Dakar Desert Rally for free until February 22, 2024.
