Celeste will also look more like Diana Gardner, the actor who has voiced her since the project’s early days. That change is coming to the game itself when Frozen Trail launches.

ARC Raiders’ Frozen Trail Trailer Will Showcase Full Motion Capture
In the statement shared by Embark, Chief Creative Officer Stefan Strandberg explains that the team wants ARC Raiders’ characters to convey more of the emotion behind their performances.
The October 6 trailer marks the first use of full motion capture described in the announcement, alongside a more detailed and accurate face for Celeste. The aim is to carry more of Gardner’s expressions and personality into the character players see on screen.
Embark wants Celeste’s face to communicate the weight of what she’s saying, especially during important story moments.
Celeste’s Face Is Changing in ARC Raiders
Gardner has been voicing Celeste, Speranza’s unofficial leader, since the beginning of ARC Raiders. According to Strandberg, the existing character’s limited facial expressions haven’t fully conveyed the depth of her acting.
He acknowledges that those limitations have sometimes broken immersion, leaving the animation struggling to communicate the stakes of a scene.
The updated Celeste will more closely resemble Gardner as Embark brings her physical performance into the role. Players should therefore expect a visible change when the trailer arrives.
Celeste’s Updated Appearance Is Also Coming In-Game
Embark is carrying this work into ARC Raiders itself. When Frozen Trail arrives, Celeste’s in-game face will also look more like Gardner, bringing her appearance and voice together.
The update launches on October 8, 2026, and also introduces Pendola Pass, new ARC threats, weapons, and other additions.
Celeste is the starting point for a wider effort. Strandberg says future updates will bring more characters closer to their real-world actors, with the technology continuing to improve over time. Embark hasn’t provided a schedule for those additional character changes, but the October 6 trailer will offer the first look at what it’s working toward.
